But what about an irrigation system? So often one sees gardens in courtyards at hospitals which have seen better days, which may have been caused by lack of irrigation.

It is a marvellous opportunity to arise out of the devastating fire in c2017 to revolutionise and expand the provision of healthcare in Weybridge to cater for the population growth caused by the building of many, many flats and even more in the future. Also to increase joined up patient services on the site would particularly benefit the elderly with chronic conditions that can be treated locally rather than travelling to Ashford & St Peter’s Hospital Trust. Also Consultant Outreach clinics, which were held in the past at Weybridge Primary Care Centre, would benefit all ages, but would need the provision of consultant rooms. I do not know if the plans cater for this, however as it is not mentioned. Also the inclusion of an Urgent Care Centre, run by nurses I believe, is helpful, but an Urgent Treatment Centre run by doctors would be much better. Surely, it could be staffed by a rota of the GP practices on the same site. I think it should be made clear to the public which level of care is going to be provided in Weybridge.

Parking inadequate. Less spaces than original Health Centre and there was often difficulty to park. Stress when already stressed !

“Urgent treatment centres (UTCs) are GP-led, open at least 12 hours a day, every day, offer appointments that can be booked through 111 or through a GP referral.” This was taken from NHS England as a definition of an UTC. This is not what the proposal for Weybridge Health Campus is offering. I was informed at the Drop In event that it is not to be used as above but to be used should there be another pandemic, an in/out system. I question what will it be used for on a day to day basis as this surely cannot be kept solely for this purpose. The common facility that residents wanted in the new building, was a Walk-in Centre and X-ray Department. Neither have been given. To state that you have a Mobile Unit (not going to be based at Health Centre) and Urgent Care Centre in place of these facilities…is ludicrous.
